Just Me and the Sea.
Into the Cold: A Personal Journey
Into the Cold began as a personal journey, sparked when I gave up drinking two and a half years ago. I traded the foggy head and red wine for the clarity of daily morning swims in the ocean, which have since become both a ritual and a deep connection to the landscape around me.
This body of work is an ongoing documentary of how I experience the world each morning—capturing everything from the stunning colours of a sunrise to the beauty in the grey skies, the ever-changing blues of the sea, and even the harshness of sideways rain and fog.
From the heat of summer to the sub-zero winds of winter, the changing seasons provide endless inspiration. I’ve developed an obsession with wind direction, weather patterns, and most notably, that feeling of just a 1-degree shift in the water.
Through photography, film and ongoing reflections, Into the Cold is a study of not only the natural world but of how it shapes and reflects my own inner transformation.
